making progress
last weekend tim and i tackled the "nursery" - which is really just our guest room but will be Presley's room until we move back to texas. we cleared out closets and drawers for her, and did 3 humongous loads of baby clothes laundry. we made a big trip to babies r us - or as tim likes to call it "hell" - and i felt much better about the impending arrival of baby girl.
this weekend i feel even better! today we got our crib delivered, bought our stroller (i still don't understand what makes it worth $1000, but whatever), and bought a few more essentials, like tylenol, diaper wipes, those itty bitty fingernail clippers, etc.
left to do:
* decide on bedding (and order fabric, have it all made)
* wash more clothes
* determine which cloth diapers we're going to use
* maintain optimism that cloth diapering will be easier than everyone thinks and that we're not crazy
* organize kitchen drawers so we can have a "baby drawer"
* keep growing baby for 8 more weeks
i am trying not to complain about being pooped right now, because i know it's only going to get worse the further along i get. and then i'll max out on my pooped-ness when she actually arrives. so i'm trying to stay positive.
but frankly, my back hurts. thank goodness i have a massage scheduled for tomorrow morning.
